Wietske has been with Real NewEnergy since its start up in February of 2010, initially as urban sustainability consultant and office manager from the Washington D.C. office, since 2012 she is based in San Francisco. She holds the LEED AP Neighborhood Development credential from the United States Green Building Council. Wietske has the Program Manager of the public-private partnership and non-profit OrangeGoesGreen and supported many companies in setting up and managing a smooth backoffice operation.
After her move to the United States in 2006 she has been working as a museum teacher at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C., teaching children and young adults about the built environment and the power of commitment and engagement from and by the community.
Wietske holds a MA in Urban & Spatial Planning from the University of Amsterdam where she graduated in 2001.
