Matthew Ross

MRR_Dec_2013Matt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012 with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a minor in Physics. He is an Energy Strategist at Real NewEnergy focusing on financial modeling and project management for nascent clean energy markets such as micro hydro, energy storage, and solutions for affordable energy generation in developing nations. In July 2012, Matt took on his first project for Real NewEnergy managing the day-to-day tasks associated with the Poseidon Atlantic Wind Turbine Test Facility on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He has also worked to develop various Marine Hydrokinetic (MHK) projects in the US and abroad.

While studying abroad in Bangkok, Thailand, Matt participated in a feasibility study of solar photovoltaics for the rooftop of Bangkok Metropolitan Authority’s new futsal stadium. Matt also served as president of his fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi, and cites that experience as a reason for his strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.

Matt is the content manager for the OrangeGoesGreen website and also delivers support for individual OrangeGoesGreen projects.
